With „First“ a series of EPs started, which UEBERSCHAER produced with the team „The Thursday Project“ (Axel Köhnken, Rainald Menges):
The album’s 5 tracks provide a first glimpse into the diverse stylistic influences from which UEBERSCHAER’s music evolves.
Rock, classical music, pop, jazz and folk merge here into a special sound of natural instruments and synthetic elements.
Here, the team’s goal was to create timeless, detailed music that „ages“ well.
The sonorous, soulful, often softly used voice gives the five songs the necessary warmth. The instruments depending on the song statement play around the vocals ,with harmonious sounds or contrast with cool, synthetic sounds.

The lyrics are based on UEBERSCHAER’s personal experiences and observations:
„142″ describes a ménage-à-trois – the struggle of two friends for a woman and the conflicting feelings that are experienced in the process. „Mama“ captures the longing for the security of childhood in our fast-paced professional world and is a personal reminiscence of UEBERSCHAER to his mother. Touch“ is about the touch of a woman and an unhealthy relationship characterized by dependence and submission. „Jenny & Jimmy“ is about the wife of a naval officer who, full of longing, waits in vain for his return. The „Gambler“ is finally addicted to gambling, beats the nights around the ears and is in the end the loser.
